Good Girl Blush

Carolina Herrera continues the blossoming exploration of contemporary femininity with the launch of Good Girl Blush Eau de Parfum, a unique and powdery expression of feminine florality and a daring explosion of contrasts. This new chapter of the Good Girl story tells about the exciting harmony of contrasts: the energy and expressive power of two different extracts of sensual vanilla in the base note, the pastel romanticism of the Peony note, at the heart of which there are two different uses of bright and luminous Ylang Ylang.

Shimmering beauty Karlie Kloss is before us once again as the face of Good Girl and with all the values she defends. In a dazzling pink dress specially designed for the campaign, she perfectly showcases the contrasts and sourced sustainable ingredients of Good Girl Blush with her radiant energy and mischievous smile.

The spirit of duality is the foundation of the Good Girl character. The ability to be sensuous and powerful, instinctive and intelligent, romantic and powerful at the same time is an olfactory expression of every woman's inner world. In this new work, perfumers Quentin Bisch and friends Shyamala Maisondieu and Christophe Raynaud took inspiration from the look of the iconic Good Girl's stiletto bottle and reinterpreted it in pastel pink with a dynamic golden heel: “It instantly made me think of a vanilla bean. The heel is the backbone of the shoe. So I imagined Vanilla as the backbone of the fragrance.”

Using different extracts of the same content was an ingenious way to dig deeper into Good Girl's story. Perfumers not only created a luminous burst of fragrance by clashing the contrasts of the ingredients with each other, but also found a way to create the complementary notes within each ingredient. “We had worked on the gourmet side of vanilla in previous Good Girls, so adding a powdery extract was the ideal way to accentuate the pinkness,” says Quentin Bisch. Regarding Ylang Ylang, she explains: “The flower's petal is already luminous, with the addition of Absolut, we had the chance to play with the deeper, more numbing and sensual aspect of this inviting flower.”

To bring the majestic Good Girl Blush bouquet to a Peony petal-like effect, perfumers used synthetic molecules blended with upcycled rose water. Thanks to this technique, which is faithful to the scent of the natural peony, the note in the scent becomes equivalent to the scent at the time of full bloom, and at the same time, it stays on the skin longer.

The symbiotic game of these different aspects turns into the dance of the contents. The other half of the fragrance's heart, Ylang Ylang is a natural continuation of Chinese Jasmine, which played a pivotal role in the original Good Girl for perfumers. All the scents in the Good Girl line embody an explosive femininity that takes the form of a stiletto that can crack glass with its sheer strength, and white Ylang Ylang is known as the exotic sister of Jasmine in the perfume world. With its seductive light with its spicy aspects, it evokes long journeys and escapade fantasies: the radiant interpretation of Good Girl.

Vanilla and Ylang Ylang in Good Girl Blush come from Madagascar in Africa and the Comoros Archipelago. Even this is the best way to remind both the distance these precious ingredients have come to turn into perfume and the expertise of local producers. For this all-vegan formula, Carolina Herrera is the partner of perfume industry leader Givaudan and her Sourcing4Good sustainability program, a collaboration that directly impacts the workers who source the ingredients through their actions, a joint effort that invests in the extraction resources and processes that create a fragrance like Good Girl Blush. became part of it.
